Romantic & Dancing at Sunset Wedding at The Refinery
Updated: Oct 1
I'll never forget this moment from Christina & Tyler's wedding day at The Refinery in Jeffersonville.
"You may kiss your bride!"
They were pronounced husband & wife.
He took her hand and walked her down the aisle.
Past all their family & friends. Out into the perfect sunset.
Into the courtyard. Under the twinkle lights.
Got out his phone...
Put on a song...
Puller her into his arms...
With her. His bride. Christina...his wife.
"Yeah, I see us in black and white
Crystal clear on a star lit night
In all your gorgeous colors
I promise that I'll love you for the rest of my life
See you standing in your dress
Swear in front of all our friends
There'll never be another
I promise that I'll love you for the rest of my life"
I wish the whole world could have witnessed this moment. The way Tyler pulled her into his arms and started dancing...it was so THEM. The dancing was not rehearsed. Watching them dance together reminded me of what life & marriage is like...it's like a dance. As a husband & wife, doing life together, sometimes you spin in a circle, sometimes you shake it out, sometimes she gets to twirl around, sometimes he gets the spotlight, and sometimes you get in close and hold tightly to each other. To know Christina & Tyler is to love them. They make everyone around them better people. They make everyone around them enjoy life just a little deeper & little sweeter.
Christina & Tyler, don't ever stop dancing. I don't even know how to summarize your day with words. They just don't feel like they are enough. Christina, I think we may have been twins separated at birth. From naps to tacos to margaritas and dance parties at sunset with our main man, our love for all the things is so simliar. You already know how beautiful I think you are!!! Especially your eyes omg!!! But my favorite part about your eyes is the way they sparkle on either side of your nose (that crinkles just a tad) when Tyler makes you laugh really hard. You are beauty, brains, and killer dance moves. That is a force to be reckoned with.
Tyler, your unwavering confidence and charisma in front of the camera never ceases to make me laugh. Don't ever stop being Tina's DJ...dance partner...or biggest source of laughter. Your confidence allows her to take your hand and adventure the world alongside you. You guys inspire me to go on the adventure. Put on the song. And just dance it out. The best times of our lives are moments. Not things. Thank you for reminding me of that.
PS. thanks for having tacos & margs at your wedding 😂 I support this for any future #naomibrides!
