Spring Wedding at the Olmstead
Dinner began. Stephanie’s father got the microphone. There were some hockey jokes thrown around. Everyone was laughing. But then he started to talk about Stephanie.
He spoke about how she grew up around strong women her whole life. And let me tell you, I spent the entire day with her family and I can 100% agree with that statement. Her mom, sisters, cousins, aunts, and friends. Literally everyone I met on their wedding day was so kind, joyful, and knew how to have fun. He shared his heart with his daughter. In front of a room full of people. Not a dry eye to be found.
With tears in her eyes, she looked at her daddy as he spoke. He looked right back at her. Stephanie. His baby girl. The bride.
And there she sat. With strong women on one side. And on the other…her best friend. Her husband.
But I think that’s the beauty of being a strong woman. Stephanie has a heart of solid gold but is simultaneously a source of steady strength. I think that’s what I love about her relationship with Kyle…she is strong, capable, and could do life on her own. But she chose Kyle. He chose her. And shoulder to shoulder, they take on life together. As a team.
Stephanie and Kyle, oh gosh how I ADORE you two!!!!!
Stephanie, right now, you are sitting in paradise with your HUSBAND! And I hope you are soaking up every single moment. You radiated elegance and beauty all day long all while having the best time of your life. And it showed. That smile only left your face for happy tears. All because that cute guy came walking out onto the ice like he owned the place 😉
Kyle, I will never forget the way that you looked at Stephanie. All. Day. Long. I’m guessing it’s pretty simliar to the way you looked at her when you first saw her on the ice that day. From the moment you saw her at the first look to the aisle moment to the party on the dance floor…I hope you never stop looking at her that way! I love how intentional you both are. That you took a few moments each part of the day to just stop, look around, and take it all in. And you two are seriously so cool. And so are your friends. I’m not that cool, but just for that day, I got to be cool, too. I was able to reference Mighty Ducks and people knew what I was talking about and your friends and families welcomed me with open arms to celebrate you both. Mr. & Mrs. Burdorf. This is just the beginning. Cheers to all the love, fun, and hockey games ahead.
I want to give Stephanie & Kyle's Creative Team a huge THANK YOU for all your hard work to create this perfect day for them!
